Soul City Arts was proud to support and host Dervish Productions in bringing Punk Days to the stage — a raw, uncompromising journey into the heart of 1970s Britain.

This vivid autobiographical story followed Hassan Mahamdallie, a poor mixed-race kid coming of age in a grim London plagued by racism, poverty and political turmoil. At 16, he found his escape and defiance in the shockwave of Punk Rock — a sound that detonated a youth rebellion against a society offering nothing but stifling control and empty dreams of past glories.

Punk Days was a fearless telling of that time, performed by someone who lived it, with the raw energy and urgency of the scene itself.
